You know the pile… the endless “junk mail” we all get every day. I grabbed what looked like another advertisement from Bank of NH and was literally about to throw it away when I randomly thought, “Eh… I’ll just open it first.”

Inside was a beautiful letter from Bank of New Hampshire with a $1,000 check made out to the HUHO Foundation to help support our communities and “keep our communities special.”

I just sat there staring at it. I showed my husband, Andrew, and we both were overwhelmed with gratitude.

Last week, KW Charities unexpectedly blessed us with a $5,000 grant… and now this.

It’s hard not to stand in awe watching how God continues to provide through people with incredibly generous hearts.

Every dollar already has a home and will go directly toward missions still serving people in very real need:

• $5,000 to Food For Children, Inc. to continue helping with their truck project and food distribution efforts. (Look for the new box truck in Manchester with the HUHO Foundation logo.)
• $1,000 to Butterflies Are Free to Fly to help begin building toward a transportation van for the kids.
• $1,000 to the Cairo Women’s Wellness Clinic to help feed more Southern Sudanese refugee families. I truly did not think we would be able to send additional support this year, and that weighed heavily on my heart… but now we can.

Sometimes we pray for provision and imagine it arriving in huge, dramatic ways. But today it came hidden inside what looked like junk mail.

No words for the ongoing generosity and support surrounding our endeavor to encourage and support missions.

After all these years of feeling called to organize these Gala events — never fully knowing year to year what will happen — it still feels like an incredible adventure watching lives impacted through simple acts of kindness and collaboration.
