Merci Internationale is a dedicated NGO founded by a passionate group of physicians committed to making a difference. For over 30 years, under the leadership of Dr. Otto Hernandez, their team has been tirelessly working to deliver free medical care to remote areas of Guatemala.

Every weekend, their skilled physicians embark on journeys to rural communities, bringing not just medical assistance but also the message of hope and compassion. They believe that everyone deserves access to healthcare, regardless of their location or circumstances. The mission extends beyond healing physical ailments; they strive to share God’s love and uplift the spirits of the communities they serve.

Thanks to your incredible support, we are thrilled to announce the arrival of essential medical equipment in Guatemala! Our healthcare mission has received state-of-the-art devices, including a portable ultrasound, a portable EKG machine, and a portable fetal Doppler.

This groundbreaking technology is already transforming lives by delivering vital diagnostic care to remote communities that previously had little or no access to hospital resources. Recent Accomplishments in Patient Care

On September 7, 2025, Dr. Raul and Zucy provided an impressive update to our board regarding their ongoing efforts. They have successfully treated over 2,000 patients in the mountainous regions of Guatemala within just the last five months. This achievement has been made possible through the utilization of new diagnostic equipment provided to them by the proceeds of the 2025 HUHO Gala, significantly enhancing the quality of healthcare available in these underserved areas.
This accomplishment not only highlights the dedication of our team but also showcases the impact of advanced technology in improving patient outcomes in challenging environments. The commitment to delivering high-quality medical care continues to drive our mission forward.
